The Ammonoosuc Rail Trail has officially been extended

The Ammonoosuc Rail Trail has officially been extended. The multi-use trail, which begins in Woodsville and travels through Bath and Lisbon to its former end on Industrial Park Drive in Littleton, now runs four additional (non-motorized — except for snowmobiles) miles along the Ammonoosuc River through downtown Littleton to Oxbow Drive in Bethlehem. According to Craig Rennie, Chief Supervisor for the New Hampshire Bureau of Trails, rail tracks will be removed next year on an additional couple miles of trail from Oxbow Drive to Wing Road. The Bureau of Trails partnered with the town of Littleton in 2020 to remove rail tracks and ties and do grading from Industrial Park Road to Reddington Street, the first leg of the extension project.
