H.O.P.E. ‘s Annual MLK Day Coat Giveaway has once again been combined with their newest community service project, Gifts of Warmth. This project takes place Jan. 17 in Lyndonville. With the help of 5th graders from Burke Town School, Americorps members and H.O.P.E. Volunteers, winter hats, mittens and scarves will be hung around downtown for those in need. The MLK Coat Giveaway will also be taking place outside of H.O.P.E., first come first serve, and by the honor system that day. This is the second year both of these projects have been held together, and it is hoped these cold weather items will make their way to those most in need to stay safe and warm during the frigid winter months ahead.
