A naked man was arrested following a disturbance at a hiking shelter

BETHLEHEM — A naked man was arrested following a disturbance at a hiking shelter over the weekend. Brian Cheverier, 35, of Boylston, Mass., faces charges for allegedly threatening people at the Zealand Falls Hut in Bethlehem on Saturday, authorities said. New Hampshire Fish and Game were notified at 5:50 p.m. and conservation officers (and a U.S. Forest Service officer) hiked 2.7 miles to the hut. They arrived to find Cheverier “highly agitated” and naked on the roof of the Appalachian Mountain Club’s Zealand Falls Hut. Officers spent an hour attempting to deescalate the situation. They eventually talked Cheverier off the roof and escorted him to the trailhead parking lot, arriving at 10 p.m. No injuries were reported and hut activities continued
